Dear Members,
Last night John McCain accepted the Republican nomination for President of the United States.
In his speech, Senator McCain bragged about taking on "union bosses," grouping the labor movement in with corrupt lobbyists, crooked defense contractors, and dishonest tobacco and drug companies.
This is just the latest example of John McCain's hostility toward unions. But don't just take it from me -- watch this video of Bill McGlashen, a member of the AFA-CWA in Arizona and a lifelong Republican, talking about why he won't support John McCain:

As Bill McGlashen says,
"Senator McCain may be a war hero, and we respect that. But on his policies, he's flat-out wrong for CWA members, and he's wrong for America."
Bill is breaking with his party because he recognizes that this election is about more than Democrats and Republicans. It's about doing what's best for America's working families -- and on virtually every issue, John McCain puts corporate interests above American workers.
From good jobs to health care, from retirement security to the Employee Free Choice Act, John McCain sides with extreme right-wing ideology, rather than standing up for the millions of working families squeezed by the struggling economy.
Watch this video of Bill talking about why he won't support his party's nominee for President, and be sure to pass it along to everyone you know -- especially Republicans:

John McCain's views on the labor movement are fundamentally flawed. He sees unions as the cause of our nation's economic problems rather than the engine that created and protects the American middle class.
We can't afford to put that misguided outlook in the White House. What will happen when the Employee Free Choice Act arrives on McCain's desk? Who will he appoint to the labor department, federal judgeships, or the National Labor Relations Board?
Make sure everyone you know sees Bill's video talking about John McCain's hostility toward the labor movement and America's workers:
